kaela's jr. banquet

kaela and i know each other from church.  last friday was her jr/sr banquet at lmh, and she had asked my sister, abbey, to do her hair.  well, abbey ended up having surgery on her hand last week, so she asked her friend aubrey if she could do her hair instead.  so all three of us went over to kaela's and i took pictures of her getting ready and all those fun detail shots.  kaela, we had so much fun getting to see you get ready for banquet...and you looked so pretty!

two weeks ago, jay and i enjoyed meeting up with evie, juanita, & bethany to do a combined senior portrait/sister shoot.  jay works with juanita at market, so she asked if i could take bethany's senior pictures, and then take some family shots together.  here's a couple sister pics...

last saturday, i shot a wedding at goodville mennonite church.  the groom's family and my husband, jay's family grew up together.  so jay enjoyed shooting with me and seeing some friends and family.  

dominic & beth...your wedding was so beautiful.  i enjoyed hearing more of your story and what God has brought you through.

nick's senior portraits

this past sunday, i shot nick's senior portraits.  nick is a good friend of my sister, abbey, so she came along and held the softbox (and helped him laugh!).  nick is a senior this year at LS and was a star on the football team, so we made sure to go back to the field and get some shots. here's some of my favorites...

a little bit of my story...

looking back over the past year,  i can barely believe everything that's changed and where i've come.  in the end of march '07, i left my school of photography, including 22 amazing friends and staff, wondering where i would begin to step out and apply what i had learned to my life and where it would take me.  i flew home not only with a new vision and love for photography, but also with my new fiance, jay, who flew from where he had been in guatemala to north carolina to california to hawaii to propose to me on a beach at sunset, where i was surrounded by my new best friends documenting the special moment!

i went into my school with a love for photography, hoping to learn more and continue to use my gift to capture beautiful sights and smiles, dreaming of one day living in guatemala and using my photos to bring out the beauty of the people and their country.  but as i landed back in lancaster, pa, i knew i somehow needed to keep shooting pictures or else i would go crazy...!

and from there, my business began...bjf (becca joy fulmer) photography...and here i am today, now married, a year later.  thank you to my parents and husband and siblings and everyone that has supported me and encouraged me along the way to pursue my passion and dreams.  this is only the beginning...
