dan's senior shoot

dan & i met up to shoot his senior pictures at lancaster county park. it was a perfect early morning with cloudy skies and cool weather.  just as we jumped out of the car to begin shooting, the skies opened up and it began to pour! so it was quite the challenge and adventure...and i had no assistant for the shoot! but we had fun.  we shot a few in the rain under the trees, then under the covered bridge where there was at least a bit of shelter from the shower! by the end of our shoot we were pretty wet, but it cleared up and we got some good shots. dan hopes to study photography after high school, so we enjoyed sharing our interest in that! best of luck with your senior year!

ryan's senior portraits

ryan is a senior this year at LS. he loves the outdoors and science and hopes to study that in college. so ab & i headed to his pastor's property he chose for senior portraits. it was a nicely shaded property with a pond and a trail that led down to a creek. ryan wanted some formal portraits taken and then came out with a batman shirt on as his second outfit! definitely didn't expect that! he has loved batman for years, so his friends told him he had to get some shots with that t-shirt on. ryan, thanks for letting your personality shine through your shoot! enjoy your senior year!

senior shoot...hans

jay & i met up with hans in lancaster city for his senior shoot. we drove around to a couple different spots i like in the city, ending up with a sweet loading dock near our house. i realized a lot of my favs from this shoot were "serious" faces...most people can't help but smile when i tell them to try a serious shot! hans, we had a great time shooting your senior pics. enjoy your last year at lmh!

she's been released!

for all of you non-photo geeks out there...this is gunna seem either really ridiculous or make no sense whatsoever. but i am pretty excited cuz a little less than a week ago...the new canon 50d was released (go ahead and roll those eyes, jay!). yeah i'm a nerd when it comes to these things, but yeah...right now i shoot with the 40d and a xti backup...but this camera looks like a promising new release and hopefully future upgrade! introducing...khloe ireland lapp

my second niece, kevin & kelly's baby girl, was born on tuesday, september 2nd. she's a month early, weighing 9 lbs!  here are a couple of the shots i got the afternoon she was born. she will be in the n.i.c.u. until she is ready to go home. please pray for her and her mom, kelly's health, so they can come home soon. khloe, you and your chubby cheeks have touched our hearts already...we love you and can't wait to watch you grow up! more to come...
